Leggett Immobilier’s company tagline & motto is – Local Knowledge You Can Trust.
Well, Teresa is certainly someone you can trust and take sound advice from when you are buying or selling property in the area. She first visited the area 13 years ago and immediately fell in love with the surrounding mountains and culture.
After starting her own independent chalet company and getting involved with everything the area has to offer – Teresa’s path has lead to Leggett, with her vast amount of experience acting as the most sound piece of trust whilst in the property hunt.
We’ve done a little interview with Teresa so you can get to know her a little better. Get in touch via email if you’d like to chat further.
Meet Teresa Gordon:
Tell us a little bit about yourself Teresa: “I’m Teresa Gordon and I live in La Cote d’Arbroz and have lived here for the past 10 years. I was a Head of Drama in a secondary school in the UK before I came out here to run a catered chalet business and I started working for Leggett this year.”

Why do you love Morzine?
“I love living in Morzine because it is a juxtaposition of cosmopolitan cool and tranquil village life.”
Favourite thing to do in the area?
“My favourite thing to do is to swim in the lakes and picnic by Lac de Montriond!”
Favourite Restaurant in the Portes du Soleil?
“My favourite restaurant is La Chaudanne in Morzine or La Bouche a Oreille in St Jean D’Aulps.”
Favourite bar: “Coup de Coeur”
Favourite ski area: “Probably the Plane Dranse”
Favourite hiking trail: “Lac du Mines d’Or”
Favourite mountain: “Tough question. Probably Mont Chery”
Why do you love property in the Alps?
“I love the variety of property which the Alps has to offer – you never know what little gems lie behind the beaten wooden facades and I am always interested in how each home can be so very different.”
What is your advice for people looking to buy a first home in the area?
“My advice for someone buying their first home in the Alps would be to get some professional advice about the practicalities of becoming domicile in France or buying your dream holiday home. Don’t rely on anecdotal evidence – take the time to find out how it works from professionals who are well briefed on the latest versions of French law.”
This was just a quick interview to get to know Teresa and her background in local property. We firmly believe that you must know everything about the area and everything that happens in the local mountains to be able to sell the best property. Get in touch with us for more information!
